Taking its name from the most iconic meal in history, THE LAST SUPPER delves into the vulnerability and subtle humiliation embedded in the act of eating. The film uses the ritual of the Swedish easter meal as a lens to explore broader themes of political power, cultural codes, and the boundaries of what is deemed “normal.” Who do we share a table with? What do we eat? What unspoken rules shape these intimate performances?
