This sculpture is an embodiment of love, vulnerability and struggle. 

Fetishism is the mechanism by which we cling to an object or illusion to avoid confronting an unsettling truth, even though we are aware of that truth. I reflect on the dating culture (and myself as a part of this culture) as commodity fetishism, where love and attraction are reduced to an exchange system.

The hair was donated by my first Swedish boyfriend.
