FIVE O'CLOCK TRAFFIC  continues to sequence his monotonous melody driven music, in search for a sublime expedition into the heart of synthesizers and drum machines.

ERIK CRONQVIST plays folk music on the vocoder, mixing Swedish folk tunes with his own melodies and improvisation. The music wanders from bright, open fields to glum forests, from lyrical melodies to drone-like choral textures.

In this performance, I work with plants that have been abandoned or neglected—plants that are no longer cared for, deprived of the environments where they once belonged. The act of re-planting is both violent and nurturing. Can we survive? Can we grow new roots? 

We are shapeshifters - the moNsters without roots, without a category, clear identity or belonging, constantly lingering on the borders, between the worlds, like those plans between the worlds of the dead and the alive. Unrecognizable, shapeshifters frighten.
