SALON BRUT
Salon Brut is a bi-monthly event by and for creative people —outside of established, gatekept spaces. Expect experiments, music, visual and performance art, poetry, movie nights, and whatever else we can imagine in a 15-square-meter concrete box at Industrigatan in Malmö. Salon Brut is always open for proposals and ideas.

Ludvig Uppman (IKONOKON) is a lighting designer working in stage performance and light art. His artistic work lingers where the eye falters and the brain begins to invent, exposing the fragile seams between signal and noise. At Salon Brut, flickering frequencies unfolds into hallucinatory fields, patterns blooming from the limits of vision itself—a contemporary echo of the Ganzfeld effect.
From shadows of 2020 emerged KALLBRAND Anders Nordensson’s (ABU NEIN) dark musical phantasm. Born of tribulation, these sonic incantations now transform into a live performance for you all to be a part of.

For the first Salon Brut, I’m proud to host three artists who are driven by experimentation and the subversion of expectations.
JON LIPSCOMB
With a heavy emphasis on free improv, noise, and free jazz, Malmö based guitarist Jon Lipscomb (USA) conjures dissonant extremes with raw power. The guitar becomes a platform for atonal swirls and microscopic polyrhythmic pangs described by the Wire as “...challenging music ..not to be listened to in a fragile state of mind.”

Rale (realtime visuals) - digitalist from US, based in Copenhagen
ARKHE
Arkhe (minimal industrial drones) - established 2010, based in Kirseberg.
