Kunstnernes Påskeudstilling - KP is the juried exhibition in Kunsthal Aarhus, to which anyone can submit works. The selection of the works for the exhibition is made by a jury of 5 recognized visual artists.60 works out of 1867 submitted (3,2%) from 36 artists have been selected including Don't say a word. This was my first institutional exhibition.
"”Let us suppose that the voice is a thread of light stretching between the mouth of the speaker and the ear of the listener, between intention and interpretation, and the accent is colored oscillations vibrating around this thread but not congruent with it” Iman Mersal, The Displaced Voice.
Mersal’s words, which quite literally visualise an enlightened voice, offer us a tool for thinking that in many ways serves as an implicit introduction to KP24. The exhibition encompasses a collection of highly poetic works that probe a fluid awareness of identity, language and repression. "
